Cecilia Li's artistic skills cover soloistic piano concerts as well as music dramaturgy for the Tanz Atelier Wien www.tanzatelierwien.at, a laboratory for research in contemporary dance and music.

Over the last decades, she has been focusing on various compositional oeuvres in a dialectical fashion: i.e. contrasting Friedrich Cerha and J.S. Bach, Giacinto Scelsi and W.A. Mozart, etc. Through the choice of specific music series – thematically based compositions from classic to modern music – she opens new soundscapes for the audience. Most importantly, there is a frequently recurring is the symbiosis of visual and acoustic art: architecture, fine arts, dance and music are made to interact, thereby creating a new work of art.

Cecilia Li was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She started to study the piano in Taiwan (Prof. Iman Wu and Prof. Robert Scholz) and continued at the age of 14 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mozarteum Salzburg (Prof. Kurt Neumüller). Later she took courses and lessons with Tatjana Nikolaijewa, Norman Shetler, Meira Farkas and Sandor Végh.

Cecilia Li performed for example at solo/chamber music concerts at the Taipei Opera Music Recital Hall, at the Grand Concert Hall Mozarteum in Salzburg, at the chamber music festival in Salzburg, a series of four recitals at the Palais Coburg in Vienna, at the Strovolos Theatre in Nicosia, at the Beijing Art Festival, at the styriarte or Wien Modern.

2007 started the work on KAIRÓS. The first showing of a solo/duo piece together with the choreographer/dancer Sebastian Prantl took place in Vienna at a charity event for Karlheinz Böhm's Ethiopia fund "Menschen für Menschen". Several successful studio showings of this piece followed: the premiere of KAIRÓS in[ter]vention (ensemble, Vol. 3) took place at the festival Österreich TANZT in the venue of the Festspielhaus St. Pölten (opening the festival), solo/duo at the Landesmuseum Mainz/Germany.
